We're developing descriptions for all flutes in our catalog by combining research from David Migoya's main database and Thomas Johnson's site. New descriptions will be added daily and weekly. If you have specific flutes you'd like us to prioritize, please reach out.

We're redesigning the main catalog listings page with a mobile-first approach for better usability across all devices. This includes rethinking our filter system to help users find specific instruments more easily.

We're refining the main flute listing page with a mobile-first design. Descriptions will display when available, with a note indicating "description coming soon" for flutes currently being processed. If no original description existed in our source materials, this will also be clearly indicated.

We're developing a comprehensive taxonomy for the hardware keys found on these instruments. The original lists used inconsistent terminology at times for describing key materials, shank styles, pad cup designs, and key types (such as pewter plug versus salt spoon styles with pads). We're systematically cataloging all key variations, including ornamental and plain designs. Once complete, users will be able to filter the catalog by specific key characteristics.
